Chümoukedima, February 20 (MExN): Rengma Public Union Chümoukedima (RPUC) today extended support towards the NTUCT (Naga Tribal Union Chümoukedima Town) over the alleged fake police recruitment held recently in the state.
A press release from RPUC President Hillo Kent said this was in regard to the debate concerning the recruitment training of candidates through backdoor appointment by the Police Department at the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) on February 14 on the issue initiated by the NTUCT.
The release said that the Chief Minister of Nagaland assured the house that transparency shall be done by setting up committee.
However, "It's just an eye wash to the situation," the RPUC maintained. The Dy Chief Minister had told the house that the appointments were done by DGP, CMDTs and SPs after fulfilling the criteria lied down by the department.
“The fact is that out of 1200 candidates to undergo training, only 208 candidates were selected through interview where and how this 1092 candidates name came under the list to undergo training?"
It meanwhile maintained that that the top brass officers of Police Department are still silent about their handiwork in the fake appointment even after the Deputy Chief Minister, incharge of Home clearly stated their involvement in the appointments.
This practice should be stopped to give opportunity to our Naga brothers and sisters crossing 70,000 plus educated unemployed, it maintained.
“Therefore the NTUCT on behalf of the public in general should immediately file a case under Lokayukta for fact finding." The union meanwhile extended support on all matters relating to fake appointment.
