Rs. 27,31,55,415 utilized for Post Matric Scholarship for ST students of Nagaland

The state’s department of higher education had successfully implemented four scholarship schemes during 2015-16. According to the annual administrative report 2016-17 of higher education department tabled by parliamentary secretary for higher and technical education Deo Nukhu in the just concluded state assembly session, the department utilized Rs. 27, 31, 55, 415 for CSS- Post Matric Scholarship for ST students of Nagaland. Actual number of students awarded stands 43, 634.  

The report also stated that the department utilized Rs. 21, 88, 800 under NEC Stipend and Book Grant- Under NEC Plan Scheme “Financial support to students of North Eastern Region for Higher Professional Course,” where 177 students awarded. Under Nagaland State Merit Scholarship, an amount of Rs. 5, 44, 24, 170 utilized for 5, 464 students and Rs. 13, 98, 500 for Nagaland State Research Fellowship for 57 students.
