In a delayed report, unknown miscreants have reportedly stolen cash of over Rs 30 Lakh from a college in Kohima last week.
Informing this to The Morung Express, the Kohima Police PRO and Additional SP said the incident came to light on August 14, Monday, after a complaint was lodged in Kohima North Police station by the college authority.
The incident occurred inside the premise of the college where the cash was stolen from the room.
The police said, as per the investigation undertaken so far, it is suspected to have occurred at night.
However, the exact time and date, suspected to be either on a non-working day have not been ascertained. Police said that it has initiated a thorough investigation to crack the case. The police added it is also examining CCTV footages and devising other methods and expressed hope that the case will be cracked soon. Till date, no arrest has been made so far.
