Rs. 50 crore sanctioned for district capital roads

Deputy Chief Minister Y. Patton who also holds roads and bridges portfolio today said that an amount of Rs. 50.00 crore was sanctioned for the improvement of district capital roads during 2018-19 in Nagaland.


District wise allocation of funds:  Peren- Rs. 210.00 lakhs, Dimapur- Rs. 650.00 lakhs, Phek- Rs. 210.00 lakhs, Kohima- Rs. 960.00 lakhs, Wokha- Rs. 300.00 lakh, Mokokchung- Rs. 500.00 lakhs, Mon- Rs. 300.00 lakhs, Zunheboto- Rs. 300.00 lakh, Tuensang- Rs. 3000.00 lakhs, Kiphire- Rs. 210.00, Longleng- Rs. 250.00 lakh, Noklak- Rs. 210.00 lakh.


An amount of Rs. 100.00 lakh and Rs.500.00 lakh also involved for construction and purchase of Bitumen respectively.


Replying this to MLA Chotisuh Sazo, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the works were all carried out departmentally.


For Dimapur and Kohima city roads, additional sanction was received as follows; Kohima town- Rs 59.60 crore and Dimapur town- R. 59.90 crore.


Patton said that no amount has been sanctioned for the improvement of Sub- Divisional Headquarters roads.
