A total amount of Rs. 500.00 lakh has been proposed under Chief Minister’s Corpus Fund (CMCF) for the year 2017-18.
This was stated in the annual administrative report 2016-17 of the department of planning & coordination tabled in the just concluded state assembly session.
The report stated that the main aim of the programmes under the Corpus Fund is to facilitate generation of sustainable income for the unemployed youth of the state and to intervene in areas where there is unmet demand. During 2016-16, an amount of Rs. 500.00 lakhs was allocated under CMCF. Accordingly, 91 persons were provided financial assistances for setting up/upgradation of self-employment enterprise and for capacity building measures.
41 tractors were distributed to progressive farmers including 10 Tata Xenon Pick Up trucks distributed for entrepreneurial activities. One Hearse Tata Winger was procured for the Red Cross Society, Nagaland and successful candidates of UPSC were assisted, the report stated.
Rs. 800.00 lakh proposed for SDP during 2017-18
To cover up the development activities which are not cover under the normal development programmes of the various departments in the state, Special Development Programme (SDP) was introduced to promote and augment the implementation of priority schemes.
The report stated that during 2016-17, an amount of Rs. 1000.00 lakhs was earmarked and the amount was fully utilized. It is proposed to earmark an amount of Rs. 800.00 lakhs during 2017-18 for the same purpose, the report stated.
Construction works
Further, the report stated that out of the total estimated cost of Rs. 6, 92, 53, 675.00 for ongoing as well as new works, Rs. 50000000.00 has been allocated during 2016-17. The report stated that a balance of Rs. 3, 40, 51, 675.00 is the liability that will be carried over to 2017-18 and the same is proposed during 2017-18.
