RSBY scheme empanelled in CIHSR

Dimapur, July 19 (MExN): Two of the best hospitals in the State, Zion Hospital and Research Centre and Christian Institute of Health Science and Research (CIHSR), Dimapur have joined Rashtriya Swastha Bima Yojana (RSBY). Zion Hospital and Research Centre has been empanelled by the New India Assurance Co Ltd while Christian Institute of Health Science and Research has been empanelled by Apollo Munich Health Insurance Co. Ltd to join RSBY on July 18.
The Department of Labour in a press release informed that CIHSR was empanelled in the presence of Er Nungshiyanger Aier, joint labour commissioner (HoD) and Col (Retd) Imti Jamir, relationship manager government partnerships Apollo Munich Health Insurance Co Ltd. The Joint labour commissioner informed that Nagaland has become one of the first states in the country to be able to provide RSBY smart cards in the entire State. Further, Elotorious Christian Society Hospital Tuensang, in addition to Rochill Hospital, Zunheboto is also being empanelled to join the RSBY.
RSBY beneficiaries would be able to avail the benefits from- Bethel Medical Centre, Kohima; Naga Hospital Kohima; Oking Hospital and Research Clinic, Kohima; Woodland Hospital, Mokokchung; Faith Hospital & Institute of Medical Sciences, Dimapur; Zion Hospital and Research centre and CIHSR, Dimapur.
The Joint labour commissioner acknowledged the Department of Health & family Welfare, Government of Nagaland for making it possible for Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) to join the scheme. NHAK has become the first government hospital in the state to join RSBY. He also expressed hope that the department will make necessary arrangement for all government district hospitals to join the scheme soon.
RSBY is a National Health Insurance Scheme for BPL families. The scheme allows RSBY beneficiaries to avail free medical care upto Rupees 30, 000 a year in all empanelled hospitals in Nagaland. RSBY is serviced by New India Assurance Co Ltd and Apollo Munich Health Insurance Co Ltd.
