RSUD felicitates successful students

Dimapur, June 18 (MExN): Rongmei Students’ Union Dimapur (RSUD) organized a felicitation programme for students who passed the Class X and Class XII exams recently on June 17 at Rongmei Tribal Court, Chungaizaeng Burma Camp Dimapur.   Alan Gonmei IAS, Secretary (Horticulture), Govt. of Nagaland was the guest speaker. Quoting the motto of RSUD - “Learn, lead and build”, he urged the students to dedicate oneself and learn to be a master in the field one chooses to lead and build the society. All these, he stated, can be achieved by dedicating to hard work.   He recounted that facilities were poor during the time he passed class X and that he had to face lots of hardship during student life. Therefore, he encouraged the students to take advantage of the facilities available for them and be content.   He also stressed on the present trend where female gender outshines male gender in every field, informed a press release from Khamjai Kamson, Secretary, Information & Publicity, RSUD. Citing the example of all the competitive exams where most of the toppers are girls, Alan said, the scenario shows that girls are more sincere than boys and success comes with sincerity and hard work.   “Student life is a struggling period, therefore give priority when you are in struggle period,” he further advised, while asking the students to have determination to be a successful person or else the result will be frustrated life. Students who struggle and do hard work come out in Toppers list, he added.   Salemyang Gangmei spoke on behalf of parents of the students. He told the students to acknowledge the hardship faced by the parents while nurturing them. “Parents sweat and earn for the bright future of their children and children should focus not to live an ordinary life instead focus to live an extraordinary life and make their parents proud,” he asserted.   Earlier, an act of blessing for the students was conducted by Pastor Gangmuna Gonmei, Rongmei Baptist Church, United North Block Burma Camp. Altogether, 76 students were felicitated during the programme.
