Dimapur, June 23 (MExN): Rongmei Students Union Dimapur (RSUD) organized a felicitation programme for the successful students of Class X and XII on June 23 at Rongmei Tribal Court, Chungaizaeng Burma Camp here.
Akeina Gonmei, Development Secretary, Rongmei Baptist Church Association Nagaland graced the programme as guest speaker. Encouraging the students to be excellent students, she said “excellence is not when you are better than others, but it is when you are better than yourself.” To become an excellent student, she stated, one has to be God fearing.
According to a press release, Gonmei also asked the students to be sincere, respect their parents, and work hard and achieve excellence.
Chaired by Neirinlu Gonmei, 52 students were felicitated in the programme. Act of felicitation was conducted by Sangamlung Dangmei, Secretary, Education & Statistics, RSUD.
Welcome note was delivered by Chunthailung Kamei, president RSUD, special number was presented by Sunday School students of Dimapur Rongmei Baptist Church, speech on behalf of the students was delivered by Lanjikliu Gonmei. Special prayer for the students was said by Rev. Gaidim Kamei, Rongmei Baptist Church, Burma Camp.
