DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 11 (MExN): The Rengma Selo Zi (RSZ) has refuted the statement made by the Chief Minister TR Zeliang, which appeared on February 8, 2017 in the local dailies stating that the “RSZ had initially support 33% reservation but backtracked on the issue.” In a rejoinder, the RSZ expressed surprise on the allegation made by the Chief Minister and maintained that it had in no point of time made any official stand on the reservation issue prior to the public declaration of January 23, 2017 where it stood for the boycott of the ULB elections. The RSZ also assured the students’ community within its jurisdiction that their upcoming exams will not be affected by the proposed indefinite bandh.
It reminded the students that both JCC and NTAC are shouldering the interest of the future generation and therefore, every Naga should render their moral support. While informing that it was fully prepared for the indefinite bandh proposed from Monday onwards, it also assured the Rengma public that there shall be no shortage of essential commodities in its jurisdiction.
