Phek, October 6 (DIPR): The celebration of RTI week was held at Phek District Headquarter in the DPDB conference hall on October 6 with Deputy Commissioner Phek, Murohu Chotso as the special guest.
Speaking on the occasion, he said everyone has equal right to get information under RTI where we can file FIR to all government organizations/Departments. He explained how to apply and file an RTI in order to know about the working system of the government. He also said that one should not take RTI in the negative sense or blame others but one should take it in the right perspective for betterment of our society as well as for good government. He called upon the participants to make use of RTI because this is an opportunity to safe guard our rights. At the same time, he warned them not to misuse it as it lead us transparency and accountability in all the government functionaries.
In the meeting, the resource person was Er. Pfutsulo. SDO (Irrigation) Phek while the function was chaired by Vekusheyi Rhakho, SDO (Civil) Phek, Officiating office Superintendent Thupuchiyi Nienu pronounced invocation prayer where DBs of DC office sung special song.
The meeting was attended from Phek Area Mothers’ Association, Phek Area Public Organisation, Tizu Area Public Organisation, Phek Town Chakhesang Students’ Union, representing from all political parties, all HoDs of Phek district, chairman from all colonies, Phek Town, GBs of Phek Town and staff of Deputy Commissioner’s office.
