Peren, October 2 (MExN): The 36 Assam Rifles along with PHC Athibung, St. Xavier’s College Jalukie, Veterinary College Jalukie and Athibung Running Club held a one day event promoting and creating awareness for Measles-Rubella Vaccination campaign under the theme ‘Run for Cause’ at Public Ground, Athibung Town on October 2.
A press release from the CMO office informed that about 387 students from and around Peren District participated in the race. Dr Nukshisangla, DPO UIP/RCH spoke on the occasion on the need to intensify the awareness on Measles –Rubella vaccination which is to start by October 3 across the state. The prizes for the race and refreshment were sponsored by the Assam Rifles.
