Rural Livelihoods Mission reaches Bhandari Block, Wokha

Wokha, October 14 (MExN): Nagaland State Rural Livelhood Mission (NSRLM) was launched at Bhandari Block, Wokha by Sulanthung Khenchung EAC, Bhandari, in the presence of Thungbemo Lotha BDO Cum BMM RD Block Bhandari along with NSRLM officials, village functionaries and others on October 13 at Bhandari Town Hall. Sulanthung while launching the mission, encouraged village functionaries to make a cleaner village administration by adopting inclusive policy, a press release here stated.  

He urged them to avail the opportunity provided by the government instead of misusing it especially with regard to loan and repayment.  

In his keynote address, BDO urged the village functionaries to cooperate with the government officials in order to implement the mission successfully. He also reminded the gathering that the mission will work intensively to alleviate the rural poor with special emphasis on the womenfolk.  

Samuel Kithan, ADPM, DMMU Wokha presented an overview of NSRLM. Out of the 7 block under Wokha district, Bhandari is the 5th block to launched NSRLM, the release also stated.  

Vote of thanks was pronounced by Samuel Ngullie, Area Coordinator Bhandari. The programme was chaired by Eranbeni Ngullie BPM, BMMU Bhandari Block. All together from 29 villages attended the launching programme.  

Later, Block Level Training Programme for Facilitators on People Plan Campaign “Sabki Yojana Sabka Vikas” for Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) was conducted for Changpang and Bhandari with Myingthungo BPM Changpang and Erenbeni Ngullie BPM Bhandari as resource persons.
