Nagaland School Education & SCERT Advisor Dr Kekhrielhoulie Yhome today flagged off the school bus for Rüzhükhrie Government Higher Secondary School Kohima. This school bus was donated by EdCIL as part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
“We are aggressively pursuing the CSR fund from different companies,” said Dr Yhome while flagging off the bus at the Directorate of School Education, Kohima and appreciated EdCIL for providing the bus.
The Advisor said the department has opened CSR Cell at Directorate of School Education for mainland India companies for infrastructure activities.
“The school bus will display our commitment to education,” said Dr Yhome, adding “May this bus continue to serve us, help our students not only in transporting them but also facilitating them to become somebody one day and allow them to become leaders of our new generation.”
It is a huge pride for all of us, he added.
Thavaseelan K, Principal Director, School Education, Nagaland informed that the department has been working with multiple organizations and trying to improve the school infrastructure in the state.
Earlier, Rev Sentisashi Aier, Senior pastor Kohima Ao Baptist Arogo (KABA) pronounced dedicatory prayer. Wonthungo Tsopoe, Director, School Education Nagaland and other official present at the flagging off programme.
