A Rebound Hammer Test to assess the structural strength of the District Hospital Mokokchung (Block Building A) was conducted on July 4.

The test, carried out by North East Engineer, Guwahati, was conducted on the ceiling, pillars, and columns, with six testing spots each for the ceiling, pillars, and columns on all three floors. The purpose was to evaluate the strength of the columns, beams, and slabs. The results of the test are expected to be submitted within five to seven days.

The testing was conducted following approval granted by the National Health Mission, State Health Society, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland, through letter No. NL/NHM/07/CW-DH/2018-19/pt-1/1063 dated July 2, 2025, as part of the ongoing upgradation work of the hospital’s main building.
