Sainik School Punglwa bade farewell to Lt Col Kiran Meitei, the Administrative Officer (AO) of the school. On December 11, a dining-out was arranged in Captain Kenguruse Cadet Mess, while on December 12, the staff Rainbow Club organized a farewell get-together at Cariappa Hall. During the programmes, the cadets and the staff acknowledged the outgoing officer, especially for the “silent dedication with which he has worked for the betterment of the school and more so for the emotional bonding that he has been able to establish.” The Group Captain Prasun Basu presented the school memento to Lt Col Kiran Meitei while the outgoing officer gifted a trophy to the school. Lt Col Meitei, an ex-student of Sainik School Imphal, took charge of his appointment as an AO on December 5, 2016 and is now being posted out from the school with effect from January 3, 2020.
