Sainik School Punglwa celebrates English Literary Week

Peren, August 16 (MExN): To broaden the horizon of knowledge and communication skills of cadets, Inter House Literary Competition was successfully conducted at Sainik School Punglwa. It is one of its important annual co-curricular activities conducted with an objective of developing and refining English literary skills of the cadets.  

In the four days of competition, variety of event such as calligraphy, story writing, essay writing, extempore and Debate were held. The event culminated with a debate on the topic; ‘Is India ready for cashless economy?’ for classes X and XI. Cd. Dinglo Kodak of Tizu House and Cdt Tamar Mara of Patkai House were declared best debaters for and against the motion respectively. Cdt Neingumezo, Cdt Sahil Kumar, Cdt Vindha Sindhu and Cdt Shivam Kumar stood first in calligraphy , story writing, essay writing and extempore respectively.  

After a very enthusiastic and enthralling competition amongst the six mother houses, Japfu House emerged as the Champion of the Inter-House English Literary Competition.  

Group Captain Sanjay Gaekwad, Principal, Sainik School Punglwa gave away the certificates and prizes to the prize winners.
