Sainik School Punglwa observed Hindi Fortnight from September 1-14, with a series of exciting competitions.

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 15 (MExN): Sainik School Punglwa observed Hindi Fortnight from September 1-14, with a series of exciting competitions. A press release informed that the event aimed to instill a deeper understanding of Hindi as an official language of the country and its significance among cadets while honing their literary and communication skills.

The fortnight-long festivities featured various events, including Doha recitation, poetry recitation, storytelling and extempore. Cadets from different houses showcased their talents, vying for top honors. The competitions were part of the school's ongoing co-curricular inter-House events, designed to foster teamwork, creativity, and healthy rivalry.

The grand finale took place on September 14 with Col Arvind Nautiyal, the Principal as the chief guest. Shilloi House and Saramati House emerged as the proud winners, lifting the coveted trophy in the junior and sub junior category respectively. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where participants and winners were felicitated.

In his address, the Principal appreciated the efforts put in by the cadets and the teachers alike in making the event a success. A special mention was made in appreciation of the cadets of this region for putting in lots of hard work to learn the official language. He stressed that such event not only promotes language skills but also encourages cultural appreciation and national pride.
