Dimapur, May 9 (MExN): Sainik School Punglwa meritorious cadets were felicitated with Gold, Silver and Bronze torches by Group Captain Sanjay Gaekwad, Principal Sainik School Punglwa during the morning assembly on May 8. Cadets were judged based on their overall performance in academics for the academic session 2016-17. The cadets include: Cdt. Rajat Rathi, Adm No 1058; Cdt. Vindhya Sindhu Adm No. 912; Cdt. Rishu Raj, Adm No 854; Cdt. Ajit Kumar, Adm No. 726 and Cdt. Mari Riba, Adm No 764 were awarded Gold torch in classes 6,7,8,9 and 11 respectively. Silver and Bronze torches were also awarded to those who stood at second and third positions respectively.
The Principal congratulated the cadets for their academic excellence, all round performance in all subjects and encouraged them to strive hard and continue to be at the top position till they pass out from Class 12. He also encouraged others to put in extra efforts so that they can also achieve distinction in the academics and earn pride.
