Students of Assam Sainik School Punglwa, with the basketball championship trophy at the East Zone Sainik Schools sports and co-curricular Championship 2011-12.
Dimapur, August 2 (MExN): The East Zone Sainik Schools sports and co-curricular Championship 2011-12 was held from July 25 to 29, 2011 at Goalpara. Assam Sainik School Punglwa won the championship trophy in Basketball. The School football team was declared the runners up in both junior and sub- junior category and in volleyball also School team performed very well. To top it all School team was also awarded the best disciplined contingent trophy for their overall behaviour and performance both on the field and off the field.
