Sakhi One Stop Centre gets new buiding in Wokha

Wokha, October 26 (MExN): The new Sakhi-One Stop Centre (OSC) building in Wokha was inaugurated on October 26 by the Commissioner  & Secretary, Department of Social Welfare & Administrator, NSSWB, Sarah R. Ritse.

The buiding located at Dr Motsuo Memorial District Hospital premises, Wokha was constructed at the cost of Rs. 48.69 lakhs with a total plinth area of 1421 sq ft, informed the State DIPR. 

Addressing the gathering,  Ritse called for departments to coordinate and work together in order to see the good result where by people get the benefit as it was era convergence and coordination.

 She also lauded Wokha district for successfully launching the sub-centre and thanked all concerned involved for the successful completion of the building.

Ritse also expressed gratitude Deputy Commissioner Wokha, Orenthung Lotha for all the support and effort he has being giving to the team and making Wokha One Stop Centre “one of the best in the state,” the DIPR report said. 

She also appealed to all the civil societies, especially the churches and Eloe Hoho team, to support and encourage the One Stop Centre team to enable them function well and cater to the needs of the people who are in need of help at times of distress.

State Coordinator for State Resource Centre for Women, Nodal Agency for Sakhi-OSC, Gracy Aye also encouraged the people (Children and women) in need of help to come forward and register their case so that their problems are addressed accordingly.

 She called for support from all sections so that OSC activities can be strengthened and can reach out to the people and help children and women in distress.
