
Kohima, April 4 (MExN): The meeting of the District Level Management Committee of the Sakhi-One Stop Centre, Kohima was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan (IAS).
The meeting was attended by the District Welfare Officer, Additional SP, Kohima, Chairperson, Kohima Municipal Council, President, Angamimiapfu Mechu Krotho and representatives from Ferendo Domestic Workers Alliance, Childline and Women Helpline 181.
The State Resource Centre is the Nodal Agency to implement the One Stop Centre and Women Helpline 181. The One Stop Centre provides integrated support for women affected by violence in public and private spaces within the family, community and at workplace under one roof.
The stakeholders ensured their support to work towards the success of the One Stop Centre in the state capital. Further, they expressed that one of the major challenges in addressing issues of gender based violence is the hesitation to report cases. The DC urged all the members to converge their services and resources to expand their sensitization drives and thereby increase awareness.
