DIMAPUR, August 3 (MExN): Rev. Fr. Nazarius Lakra sdb, Vice Provincial of the Salesian Province of Dimapur, officially launched the Nagaland State unit of the ‘Salesians in the Secular World’ (SSW) on July 31 at Don Bosco Institute of Development & Leadership (DBIDL), Dimapur.
A press release received here stated that the official launch of the SSW Nagaland was preceded by the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. Rev. Fr. Nazarius Lakra in his homily encouraged the new SSW members, to be transformed by prayer.
Salesians in the Secular World (SSW) is a movement whose members had once been in the Salesian family as aspirants, novices or Salesians but later felt called by God to another way of life. They still cherish the Spirit of Don Bosco (alias St. John Bosco) they had imbibed earlier. “As Christians, while pursuing different walks of life, they try to practice Don Bosco’s spirit, that is, preferential love for youth particularly the marginalized ones,” the release added.
