SamaBhav 2023 International Travelling Film Festival on Gender Diversity and Inclusion held in Alder College, Kohima on April 27 and 28.

Kohima, April 29 (MExN): The two-day SamaBhav 2023 International Travelling Film Festival on Gender Diversity and Inclusion was held in Alder College, Kohima on April 27 and 28.
The festival was organized by Women Development Cell, Alder College, Bodhana Trust, and Mumbai-based organisation, MAVA (Men Against Violence & Abuse).
The festival showcases contemporary national and international films, documentaries and feature films about discrimination against women and others.
The fifth edition of SamaBhav had an outstanding range of films with varied stories, subjects and sentiments made by established film makers.
Post-screening deliberations and interactive conversations were held with experts delivering fresh perspectives to help young people examine their attitudes and reflect on the biases or prejudices prevalent in the society.
The discussions were aimed at creating awareness on issues such as gender discrimination, violence against women, attitudes towards orientations and identities.
More than 300 people including discussants and attendees from different colleges and organisations in Kohima and Dimapur took part in each screening during the two-day event.
The festival concluded with a closing function at Dr Setu Memorial Hall, Alder College, Kohima.
