Samsung Galaxy A21s to debut in India on June 17

Bengaluru, JUNE 16 (IANS): Samsung Galaxy A21s will be launched in India on June 17, South Korean tech giant Samsung confirmed on Twitter on Monday. Galaxy A21s will be Samsung's fourth Galaxy A Series smartphone to be launched in India this year.

 

Though Samsung did not disclose the price of the phone via its tweet on Monday, in the UK it is sold at a retail price of GBP 179, that is, about Rs. 17,000. In India, it will be sold across Samsung’s offline and online channels. Claiming the new addition to be Samsung’s budget phone in the A series, Galaxy A21s has already debuted in the UK last month.

 


The smartphone that is available in the UK is available in three colour options—black, blue and white, and features octa-core processor. Samsung Galaxy A21s boasts of quad rear cameras, face recognition, and 15W fast charging support. It also comes with a fingerprint sensor at the back.

 

The smart gadget that was launched in UK featured a 6.5-inch HD+ (720 X 1600 pixels) Infinity-O Display with 20:9 aspect ratio, 48MP quad camera, and a 5000mAh battery. There are two variants of the phone—4/64GB and 6/64GB. It runs Android 10 with One UI on top. The internal storage on the smartphone can be expanded via a microSD card (up to 512GB).

 

The quad rear camera setup features a 48-megapixel primary camera and an 8- megapixel ultra-wide camera. There are two 2-megapixel cameras as well housed inside the rear camera module. There is also a 13-megapixel camera at the front of the phone for video calling and selfies.

 

Earlier this year, Samsung had launched Galaxy A51, A71 and A31 in India. All the phones did quite well with Galaxy A51 setting a global bestseller record.
