DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 24 (MExN): The Sand Stockiest and Suppliers Unions of Dimapur and Chümoukedima along with the Assam Sand Supply & Truck Owner Association Nagaland have resolved to lift the sand ban on Bokajan side of Assam from November 25.
A press release from the unions however affirmed to continue the indefinite ban on sand on the Manja side of Assam “as the matter has not been resolved to its logical conclusion.” It urged all the stockiest and suppliers to take note and report to the undersigned if anyone is found violating the ban.
In order to control the self-style fixation of sand prices, the unions also resolved to fix the price of sand for all stockiest and suppliers and resolved to regulate the prices. They further asked the public to report if anyone is found selling sand beyond the price fixed.
