SANKALP-HEW launches digital literacy skill training at Chozuba

PHEK, JUNE 26 (MExN): On account of the 100 days Special Awareness Campaign under SANKALP-HEW, a six month DCA (Diploma in Computer Application) course under the digital literacy skill training for women and girls was launched on June 24 at AICSM Chozuba Centre, Chozuba town.

According to a press release, the initiative was supported by District Administration, SANKALP-District Hub for Empowerment of Women BBBP, Phek under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme.

Vilenuo K. Thisa, District Mission Coordinator DHEW, Phek, delivering the key note address, stressed on the importance of skill training for weaker section of women and girls for better living standard and to support their livelihood. She encouraged the students to take advantage of the course and up-skill themselves. 

Veposelü Naroh, Gender Specialist DHEW, Phek stressed on the importance of digital literacy and elaborated that technology can be used to improve the quality of life in the information society. She also highlighted on the components of Mission Shakti. The programme was chaired by Veshosa Keyho, Proprietor & Branch Director, AICSM, Chozuba Center. Altogether, 5 female enrolled for the training programme.
