Dimapur, July 14 (MExN): Sano Vamuzo, recipient of the prestigious Baptist World Congress Quinquennial Human Rights Award from the Baptist World Alliance (BWA), was warmly received at Dimapur Airport today on her return from Brisbane, Australia.

The reception, organized by the Western Chakhesang Hoho, was attended by well-wishers and community leaders.

Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho gave a brief introduction to the 23rd BWA Congress and shared the significance of the award.

Sano Vamuzo expressed heartfelt thanks, sharing about the goodness of God and acknowledging the support of her former and present colleagues throughout her journey.

She dedicates this recognition and honour to all Naga women and Nagas at large, as it brings with it a challenge and a call to action,  urging us to press on by "Living the Good News," which was the theme of the 23rd BWA Congress.

Congratulatory messages came from various civil society organizations and well wishers, each expressing deep appreciation for her lifelong contribution to peace and human rights.

Rev. Dr. Vevo Phesao, on behalf of the family, thanked everyone who came and concluded the gathering with a prayer.
