The Baptist women ministry of Sanphure village celebrated its golden jubilee from January 19 to 21 under the theme ‘Proclaim the good news’. Speaking at the jubilee, Aprie, women secretary of United Sangtam Baptist Lithrolaru Ashimukhong said women play an important role in any progressive society and to play that role one has to draw wisdom from God. She asked the women to take bold new step with the celebration of jubilee for the progress of the church and society.
She also challenged the congregation to make the jubilee a time to reason and recommit oneself and not just another gathering. Take the message of jubilee prayerfully, she added.
“If we want to achieve something we have to have action plan so that we see the progress and evaluate ourselves,” Aprie exhorted. She also defined the strength of the women as very powerful. Stating that everything will be made possible if they have God in them and their family, the speaker further asked the women to be prayerful and God fearing.
Tsipenthe, Assistant Labour Commissioner and Tsointhe, teacher extended jubilee greetings to the gathering, while Tsaoithsi shared on the inception of the women ministry.
