Sao Chang College host Faculty Development Programme

Tuensang, September 20 (MExN): Sao Chang College (SCC), Tuensang conducted national level online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on ‘CO-PO designing, mapping, attainment methods and Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE)’ from September 11 to 15. 

The programme was jointly organised by the SCC in collaboration with the IQAC Cluster, stated a press release issued by Media Cell, SCC. Resource persons were drawn from the IQAC Cluster, which is a conglomerate of IQAC Coordinators based in Pune, Maharashtra, working with a goal to create a trained and performing IQAC in Higher Educational Institutions with right knowledge, skills and quality tools through cooperation within the organisation.

It also assists in bringing the remotest colleges in the main stream of educational development with knowledge and technology as a tool for improvement. The intent of the FDP was to facilitate college teachers in ensuring that programmes and courses are effective and relevant to the students’ learning needs as well as to help them progress continuously leading to the thorough understanding of the prescribed course of study. 

Earlier, Prof Peeyush Pahade, President, IQAC Cluster, attended the inaugural programme as the chief guest. The valedictory programme was chaired by Dipak Nath, Assistant Professor & Head, Department of Physics, SCC. In the valedictory session, Dr S Sankar, Advisor, IQAC Cluster & Former Principal, Akkineni Nageshwar College, Gudiwala, Andhra Pradesh, graced the occasion as the chief guest. 

Course Coordinator Prof Bharat Gangude, Associate Professor, Head, Department of Physics, Anantrao Pawar College, Pirangut, Pune, delivered the welcome address. Assistant Course Coordinator Dr Santosh Kumar Singh, IQAC, SCC gave an overall view of the five-day FDP. The vote of thanks was delivered by Akyuba Sangtam, Assistant Professor & Head, Department of English, SCC.
