Sao Chang College performs mock drill on fire incident
Students of Sao Chang College along with personnel from Nagaland Fire and Emergency Services, Tuensang after the mock drill held at the college premises on February 3.
Tuensang, February 4 (MExN): Mock drill on fire incident evacuation and management was conducted at Sao Chang College, Tuensang on February 3. During the mock drill, fire incident rescue, evacuation and management techniques were demonstrated by experts comprising of officers and personnel from the Nagaland Fire & Emergency Services, Tuensang Nagaland led by C Renbenthung, officer-in–charge. As per a press release from the College Media Cell, students, teaching faculty and non-teaching staff were taught the basic knowledge on disaster management techniques and rescue methods. Emergency fire dousing techniques by using different types of fire extinguishers for different type and nature of fire outbreak were further demonstrated.
The college authority acknowledged the office of the Nagaland Fire & Emergency Services, Tuensang Nagaland for imparting basic knowledge on disaster handling methods and techniques on how to save lives and to be fully aware in the event of any calamity so that casualties can be avoided and minimized.
