
SAPATGRAM, June 2 (MExN): Sapatgram College has been awarded a B++ Grade with a CGPA of 2.81 in the third cycle of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accreditation, following a virtual assessment conducted on May 22 and 23. The results were officially declared on May 29.
The recognition places Sapatgram College as the second-highest NAAC-rated institution in Assam’s Dhubri district, behind B.N. College, Dhubri, which currently holds an A+ Grade.
The NAAC Peer Team praised the efforts of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and commended the institution’s ongoing commitment to academic quality and infrastructural development. The achievement was attributed to the leadership of the college Governing Body, Principal Dr. Rajeshwar Prasad Singh, IQAC Coordinator Dr. Jogomaya Paul, and the active participation of the teaching and non-teaching staff.
Among the key facilities highlighted in the assessment were the college’s Skill Hub, Incubation Centre, Mushroom Cultivation Centre, Fully Automated Library, Gymnasium, Laboratories, Auditorium, Yoga Centre, Indoor Stadium, Guest House, Smart Classrooms, Museums, Language Laboratory, and innovative student-led wall magazines such as Phronesis.
The Peer Team also noted the college’s strong student engagement through NSS activities and its overall infrastructural advancements.
The latest accreditation marks a significant improvement from the college’s previous B Grade (CGPA 2.52).
