SAPO issues restrictions for NH-2 repair works on Oct 26

Jakhama, October 22 (MExN): The Southern Angami Public Organisation (SAPO) today informed that movement of the heavy vehicles (trucks and tankers), both local and non local, will be restricted on October 26 from  6AM to 4PM to allow smooth repairing of National Highway-2 along Kohima-Mao gate stretch. 

All parking of vehicles from Phesama check gate to Khuzama village will be also be restricted during the repair works. 
The decision for the same was taken during a combined meeting of the frontal organisations of Southern Angami area on October 19, informed a press release from SAPO General Secretary Swelul Pucho.

The meeting deliberated on the deplorable road condition of NH-2 and came to conclusion that the road is too risky for vehicles to ply to and fro unless some major repairing are done, it said. 

The meeting also noted that the stretch has become an accident-prone area and the daily commuters are facing untold miseries.

Accordingly, the SAPO with the villages has come forward as a good gesture for a temporary relief to repair the deplorable road on October 26, it added. 

The SAPO further appealed the State Government, all the commuter and citizen of the SAPO to cooperate with the organisation in restoring the deplorable road.
