
Mon, March 8 (MExN): The launching programme of Satellite OST cum induction camp was held on March 6 and 7 at CHC Aboi.
A press release issued by Longyim Tzudir, District Programme Officer, DAPCU, Mon stated that Ketichu Kent, Assistant Director (OST), NSACS delivered a short introduction on Satellite OST programme, where he expressed sincere acknowledgment to Principal Director, H&FW and Project Director, NSACS for their valued support in the process of opening the centre, and also thanked Project Sunrise for sponsoring the launching cum induction camp. He said that the main purpose of opening Satellite OST centre was to enable beneficiaries to access to service at door step, and called upon everyone to extend continual support towards implementation of OST programme.
Dr. Temsuyanger, ZLO (Mkg) and OST Master Trainer, while sharing on the Benefits of OST, mentioned that it has been recognized as legal drugs and most essential programme. He urged the beneficiary and the society as a whole to understand the health benefit of OST and utilize judiciously.
Besides Dr. Manom, Medical Officer, CHC Aboi delivered a welcome address. Other participants who spoke in the programme included Zachamo Ovung, Project Officer, TI, NETSU, Ponge, Chairman of Hospital Medical Department, Shongmeth, President, KNSK (Aboi Unit), Shah-ang, Vice Chairman, Adhoc Town Committee, Aboi. Special song was presented by Pangpet, Peer Educator, TI.
The staff of Nodal OST Centre, District Hospital Mon inducted 72 new clients during launching cum induction camp. The programme was chaired by Wanmei K, Programme Manager, TI, (NNP+) while Pangom K, Actt. Cum M&E, TI (NNP+) thanked the resource persons, CHC staff and management committee, government officials, civil societies, churches, students and well wishers for their participation in making the programme a grant success.
Earlier, Mongnyei, Pastor pronounced an invocation and concluded with benediction by Yanching K, Pastor, Nagamese Baptist Fellowship Aboi.
