Tuensang, February 26 (MExN): A press conference on PM KISAN was held at DC’s Conference Hall Tuensang on February 26. District administration along with the banks of Tuensang district attended the conference.
The press conference was addressed by DC Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant.
According to a DIPR report, a special drive has been initiated by the Government to facilitate universal access to concessional institutional credit for all PM-KISAN beneficiaries. All PM-KISAN beneficiaries will be facilitated for issue of Kisan Credit Card (KCC) to avail benefits of concessional institutional credit.
A simplified one-page form has been developed for coverage of PM-KISAN beneficiaries under KCC wherein they have to provide only the copy of the land record document and the crop sown along with the filled up form and approach the bank branch from where they are drawing PM-KISAN benefit, for issue of KCC.
All banks have been advised to organise special camps and provide a separate window for accepting the forms and sanction KCC limit with the shortest possible time not exceeding 2 weeks. Officers of Line Departments including Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Rural Development will facilitate dissemination of awareness among all PM-KISAN beneficiaries and motivate them to visit the bank branches where they have PM-KISAN account for enrolment under KCC. KCC benefit has been extended to Animal Husbandry and Fisheries farmers also. These farmers who are already KCC holders can approach the banks for sanction of additional limit.
All charges including the processing, documentation, inspection and ledger folio charges as well as other service charges for KCC loans up to Rs 3 lakh have been waived. Bank branches have been advised to prepare list of PM-KISAN beneficiaries who do not have KCC and share the same with the Government functionaries of line departments so that they can be approached for availing the KCC benefit.
SMS to all PM-KISAN beneficiaries is being sent from the portal to visit concerned bank branch for getting KCC benefit. All PM-KISAN beneficiaries have been auto approved for KCC and require to simply visit the nearest bank branch with a copy of land documents and details of crop sown along with the filled up one page form for availing the benefit.
