Kiphire, October 8 (MExN): Wildlife Week 2021 was celebrated by Kiphire Wildlife Division along with Kiphire Territorial Division under the Theme “#SaveLifeinWildlife”.
An online Food Art Competition was organised for classes 3 to 10 in Six Districts under its jurisdiction – Phek, Kiphire, Noklak, Tuensang and Mon to create awareness and consciousness about Wildlife Week and promote awareness on conservation, stated a press release.
The culmination programme of the Wildlife Week 2021 was organised by the Division at Community Education & Recreation Centre, Fakim Village which was attended by the Joint Councils of Fakim, Thanamir and Vongtsuvong Villages along with other attendees and Department officials.
The meeting was addressed by the Wildlife Warden Kiphire, M Limaba and also the Joint Councils and it was re-affirmed their commitment to protect the Bio-Diversity strengthen the co-operation between the Department and the stakeholders to make Fakim Wildlife Sanctuary, a model WLS for the state and country. The meeting was chaired by Tinokumzuk Chang Forester-I, invocation prayer by Yantsemong Anti-Poaching Squad and word of thanks was proposed by Alemba Yimchunger, Game Watcher.
