Assam Rifles conduct volleyball match and lecture for youth
Kohima, March 5 (MExN): Chieswema Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organised a volleyball tournament wherein teams of Zadhima - II, Zeizou, Old Phikerkrima Youths participated alongwith the team of Assam Rifles at Zeizou on March 4. A press release issued by Lt Col Amitabh Sharma, PRO, IGAR (North) stated that The aim of the volleyball tournament was to give boost to the local sporting talent and encourage youth to participate in constructive activities. A lecture on ‘Say No to Drugs and HIV/ AIDS’ was also organised for the youth to raise awareness on the causes, symptoms and preventive measures of the social anathema. The event concluded with prize distribution, refreshments and informal interaction.
