Kohima, March 18 (MExN): Southern Angami Youth Organization (SAYO) in collaboration with Southern Angami Students Union (SASU) and NSS volunteers from St Joseph’s College (Autonomous) Jakhama, carried out sanitation drive at Dzükou Valley, Nagaland from March 14 to 16.
The drive was specifically conducted in and around the valley with 34 volunteers. Compost pits were dug managing the collected trashes, a press release from SAYO informed.
It further added that the SAYO will also be conducting mass Sanitation drive along the Viswema route, Jakhama route and the Base Camp, scheduled on 'Earth Day' on April 22 next month.
The Organization has further notified the visitors to Dzükou Valley, both foreign and local to adhere to managing own wastes and move away from any acts that compromises environment sustainability.
