
Kohima, March 5 (MExN): Sazolie College, Jotsoma organized a one day career guidance programme at the college auditorium on March 3 with 92 students from the VI semester attending it.
The resource persons were Lezo Putsure, Director of YouthNet and Tomtsa Chishi, Senior Operation Manager, Amazon, Los Angeles.
Lezo, speaking on Time Management and Etiquette, emphasized the need for students to identify “what’s important in life” and “what’s urgent in life.” This, according to him, is crucial in making the most of time at hand and in choosing a career path. He encouraged the students to strive for change, which is difficult, but not without its benefits, informed a press release from the college.
Tomtsa spoke from his experience of working in Sales and Advertising for Lenovo, India, in charge of Eastern Region and as Sr. Operation Manager, Amazon. A graduate of IIM, Lucknow, he is currently based in the States. He is an engineer by profession, the release said. He provoked the students to dream big and to pursue one’s dream. He took a session on Career Guidance and Entrepreneurship.
The programme was chaired by Vetsuzolu Tetso, Assistant Professor, Department of Education and the vote of thanks was given by Aotemsu from the VI semester. Earlier, Nzanthung Kikon, the Chaplain offered the invocation prayer.
