Kohima, July 5 (MExN): As part of the celebration of Tuluni festival, the Youth Department and Women Department of the Sümi Baptist Church, Kohima organised a joint cultural programme on July 5.
Delivering Tuluni greetings, Lukheto Yeptho, Chairman, Board of Deacons, SBCK, encouraged the congregation to “carry forward positive aspects of our cultures and traditions culture; but discard those elements that do not align with our Christian values.” He emphasised that such events plays vital roles in reviving and preserving our cultural identity.

The competitions included traditional fire-making, top spinning and traditional hopping were held, in which members of SBCK representing the ten fellowships participated.
Special presentations such as war-cry, folk dances, folk songs; and a drama on traditional Morung system and customary practice of seeking a woman's hand in marriage were part of the cultural programme.
