he golden jubilee celebration of Sangtam Baptist Church Kiphire Town (SBCKT) Women Department commenced on April 7 under the theme ‘Empowerment through Christ’. Hundreds of delegates from different villages in Kiphire district are attending the three-day programme.
Rev C. Lima, Executive Secretary, USBLA, while releasing the souvenir and the history magazine, acknowledged the struggles as well as patience of the pioneers in the early years when the women department was established. He also shared on the meaning of jubilee, stating it is a time to reflect on God’s faithfulness throughout the journey. It is also a time to grow stronger in the Lord, he added.
Visasieu Dolie, NBCC Women Secretary, Chumpong, OTC Principal, Rev I. Apila, TBC Executive Secretary, and Aprie, USBKA Women Secretary are the speakers of the jubilee.
