Pughoboto, November 8 (MExN): The Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) of Pughoboto Town has call for partial bandh on November 11 as the second phase of its agitation demanding a State Bank of India (SBI) branch in Pughoboto.
The CSOs, on August 11, organised a silent procession as the first phase of its demand and had urged the State Government to set up the SBI Branch in the town within 45 days.
However, with the State Government failing to heed to their demand, the second phase was called on November 11, the CSOs informed in press release.
A prior information has been given to all the Head of Departments and employees posted in Pughoboto that all the departmental officeswill remain closed on the day of bandh except for Medical and Police personnel, it said.
Nevertheless, each employee’s attendance has been made mandatory on the said day, failing which the organising CSOs will initiate a strict course of action, the release added.
The CSOs further stated that they are “resolutely resolved to proceed with the next phase of unrest agitation if our demand is not fulfilled at the earliest.”
