SBI conducts farmers’ connect prog in Phaipijang

Dimapur, July 25 (MExN): With the objective of strengthening relationship and bonding with rural customers, State Bank of India (SBI), Dimapur region, organised a farmers’ connect programme called ‘Ratri Shivir’ in Phaipijang village, Dimapur, on July 22 on the theme ‘Ek Raat Annadata Ke Saath.’

The programme was attended by Rapi Pao Paomai, Chief Manager, Credit RBO Dimapur; Temsurenla Jamir, Chief Manager, SBD RBO Dimapur; I Temjen Changkiri, Branch Manager, SBI Purana Bazar Branch; Anthony Ngourii, Branch Manager, SBI Golaghat Road; Letthang Chongloi, GB of Phaipijang Village; Jangpao Changsan, Chairperson PVC; and Danny Lenthang, Secretary PVC; and around 120 villagers, a press release from the SBI informed.

During the event, bank officials handed over ‘in – principle sanction letter’ to 34 piggery farmers in the village. They also highlighted schemes like Piggery (Mudra) and Kisan Credit Card and created awareness on maintaining credit discipline.
Additionally, seven meritorious students and two Self-Help Groups from the village were also awarded by the bank, the release stated.
