SBI Dimapur main branch informs customers

DIMAPUR, JUNE 1 (MExN): The State Bank of India Dimapur Branch has informed that due to restriction along the road leading to the adjacent COVID-19 hospital, the entrance to the branch is diverted to Highway side through Treasury branch. 


Customers have also been asked to avoid rush hours in the morning and during first week of the month. A press release from the SBI, Dimapur main branch informed customers to maintain social distance, wear face cover, wash hands before entering the banking hall and before leaving.


“While in the Banking hall, minimise hand touch areas and loiter around if work is done.    Do not bring friends and relatives unnecessarily to the Bank if they don’t have work,” it was added.


Customers have also been asked to use ATM facilities for cash withdrawal. 


“Even if you don’t have ATM card, you can withdraw cash from ATM through YONO CASH by using mobile app YONO SBI. People having ATM card are also advised to use YONO CASH to minimize touch points at ATM Kiosk. Under YONO CASH facility, one can withdraw maximum Rs.20,000 per day but Rs.10,000 per withdrawal,” it informed.


It meanwhile asked people to avoid coming to the bank for less important work such as balance enquiry, passbook update, account statement, etc. 


For such requirement, use SMS banking which can be registered by sending SMS from registered mobile REG<space>account number to 09223488888. After registering; for Balance enquiry- SMS BAL to 09223766666; for Mini statement - SMS MSTMT to 09223866666; and for Cheque book request - SMS CHQREQ to 09223588888.


It encouraged the use of online banking for safety and convenience. 


“For this, they can register themselves “YONO SBI” without coming to the Bank which will simultaneously provide both internet banking as well as mobile banking facilities. The process is simple and self guided by downloading from Google Play Store and going to the option Existing Customer, register with ATM card. OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number. A temporary Username and Password will be sent to registered mobile number which should be used to login to create permanent ID and Password,” the press release informed. 


For quick access, a 6 digit MPIN can be created. SBI online banking is highly secured by second authentication through profile password and OTP, it was added.


It meanwhile cautioned not to share ATM card number, validity date, CVV, password, OTP(one time password), not to succumb to lottery/ prize money win offers and not to access suspicious links provided in SMS or emails.
