The State Bank of India donated a Mahindra Bolero vehicle to Nagaland State Resource Centre for Women (SRCW) in Kohima.
KOHIMA, JUNE 13 (MExN): The State Bank of India donated a Mahindra Bolero vehicle to the Nagaland State Resource Centre for Women (SRCW) in a brief function at Hotel Vivor today.
The donation was handed over by Pravin Raghavendra, Deputy Managing Director, State Bank of India, Corporate Centre Office, Mumbai in the presence of RS Ramesh, State Bank of India, Chief General Manager of North East Circle.
Khrienuo Tachu, Chairperson of State Commission for Women thanked the SBI for donating the much needed vehicle for timely rescue of women victims of violence and for conducting outreach programs across the State. She stated that SRCW since its inception in 2012 has been actively working to facilitate the implementation of women centric programs, state project management for Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and the nodal agency implementing the 181-Women Helpline and Sakhi-One Stop Centre (OSC). Women Helpline provide 24x7 toll-free support to women facing violence.
Martha R Ritse, Commissioner and Secretary, Social Welfare Department expressed her gratitude to SBI for supporting the concerned women and looked forward to collaborating in the future.
Pravin and Ramesh of SBI stated that the bank has given the donation considering the yeoman service being provided by State Resource Centre for Women. They added that the cause of women in society and also within the bank is always regarded with highest respect and concern, and will continue to support such initiatives in the future.
