SBI Sanjeevani mobile medical van flagged off in Dimapur

Officials and others during the launching of the SBI Sanjeevani mobile medical van for the rural areas of Dimapur.

Dimapur, July 1 (MExN): The SBI Foundation in partnership with AIDA Don Bosco launched the SBI Sanjeevani mobile medical van for the rural areas of Dimapur. The event was graced by Dr I Moatemjen, Chief Medical officer, Dimapur, SBI Official, Rev Fr Dr Jose Kuruvachira, Salesian provincial, and other administrative officials, doctors and ADIA staff. 

SBI Sanjeevani mobile medical van will provide door step health service and other medical facilities to the rural population of Dimapur under Chümoukedima subdivision. An event was organized to commemorate the flagging of the SBI mobile medical van, ‘SBI Bank Day’ and International Doctors Day, a press note received here stated.

Explaining the SBI Foundation, Rev Fr Joseph TT said, “SBI Foundation believes in a bottom-up approach for transforming villages and is committed to integrated rural Development by adoption of villages”. Its partner, AIDA- an NGO that is committed to the rural development of North East, will carry out the program enviably. 

Speaking on the occasion, Dimapur CMO, Dr Moatemjen stressed the need of ambulance and medical van service particularly in Dimapur. He thanked the SBI Foundation for partnering with AIDA, in improving the socio-economic wellbeing of the rural population.

Abinash Hembrom, SBI, Assistant General Manager, Dimapur, special guest of the day said, “SBI is keen for socio economic development of the rural people. As such, it has formed subsidiary SBI foundation in Nagaland. We believe the real and long lasting changes can only be created when we join hands and put efforts.” 

Guest of honour, Rev Fr Dr Jose Kuruvachira placed on record the contribution of SBI foundation as well as SBI Card in initiating societal benefits to all geographical regions of the country irrespective of regional, linguistic, caste, creed, religious and other barriers. 

Others present were Dr Antoli Deputy, Chief Medical Officer, doctors from Holy Redeemer Health Center and Palliative Care Center of the Diocese of Kohima.
