Under the initiative of Mokokchung District Swachh Bharat Mission, the deteriorated roofing at Mokokchung District Jail Fellowship was repaired with brand new CGI sheets sponsored by the Yimyu Baptist Church, Mokokchung.
The inmates of the jail had earlier requested SBM Mokokchung to help them repair the roof during the inauguration of water supply and sanitary facility in the jail on April 4 last. The roofing above the 800 square feet chapel was so debilitated with leaks inundating the hall during rainy days.
Apart from the CGI sheets, labour and all other costs were also volunteered and borne by the Yimyu Baptist Church. There are at present 38 inmates in the Mokokchung District Jail who attend the Fellowship regularly.
