SC-ST HUB District level conclave held in Longleng

Longleng, October 23 (MExN): The District Level SC-ST Conclave programme organized by the Nagaland Industrial Development Cooperation Ltd in collaboration with Industries and Commerce department Government of Nagaland under NSSH Schemes of the Ministry of MSEME Government of India was conducted at EBRC hall, Longleng on October 23 with M Shayung Phom, Deputy Commissioner, Longleng as the special guest.


In his inaugural speech, the DC spoke on the economic development, its earning and saving. Encouraging the participants he urged the participants to learn and gain something from the programme and inspire their lives. The DC shared about own entrepreneurship for self employment such as sewing and tailoring, handicrafts, shoe making, etc to boost rural economy. He asserted that the district administration and the Assam Rifles are ever ready to assist and support any organization and individuals in the days to come.


In his keynote address, Sabaringiri M, Assistant Director MSEME DI Dimapur spoke on the Micro Small Medium Entrepreneur Plan and Machinery investment and economic activities. He said across India there are 30 development Institutes and 18 technology centers while in Nagaland 99% of the units are Micro Industries.


MS Kaushik Major Assam Rifle, Longleng in his special speech asserted that students should play a main role for entrepreneurship as Nagaland is lacking far behind. He appealed the participating students to learn new skills and individual development to resolve the growing unemployment problems in the state.     


In the technical session various schemes and activities was presented by the different departments. The program was chaired by Lipom Phom and invocation was proposed by Tia, Executive Secretary PBCA, Longleng. Welcome address was proposed by Akhaba Sangtam, General Manager, DIC, Longleng.
