DIMAPUR, JULY 27 (MExN): The Sumi Council Dimapur today supported the demand for improving the road conditions in and around Dimapur made by the Naga Council Dimapur and said that this needs to be addressed most urgently. A press note from the Sumi Council Dimapur urged upon the concerned authority to take note and initiate to undertake the works immediately. “It may be noted that there has been no positive steps taken for the last decade and a half to augment the road conditions in the entire state of Nagaland. This can be attributed to total negligence on the part of the government agencies including political, bureaucratic as well as technocrats resulting in untold suffering of the general public,” it added. Resolving to extend all possible support to the Naga Council in this connection, the SCD has convened a meeting of its office bearers and office bearers of the Sumi Totimi Hoho at 3:30pm on July 29 at Hotel Theja Fort.
