SCHE holds fire safety awareness programme

Dimapur, March 17 (MExN): The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Salesian College of Higher Education in collaboration with the Fire and Emergency Service, Fire Service Central, Dimapur organised a ‘Fire Safety Awareness Programme’ on March 16 at its adopted village Master Colony, Kuda -C. 

The village is identified as a hot zone by the Fire Service Central Dimapur, as per the college.  A team of fire service comprising of Anglong Konyak, Rongsenwati Ao, Kivika N, Mughavi Sema and led by ASI G Niamlungpou Gonmei demonstrated various ways of fire safety and prevention.  The residents and the volunteers actively participated in the demonstration, informed a press release from the college. 

Green Hand service
The Eco Club of Salesian College of Higher Education extended ‘Green Hand Service’ to Nagaland Zoological Park, Rangapahar on March 16. The eco club members numbering 42 with two coordinators, swept the footpath, picked up the littered bottles and plastics, and cleaned the park, stated a press release from SCHE. “The primary objective of this service was to contribute our little share of service, extend our Green Hands to the community under the motto ‘Think Green,’” it added. The Forest Ranger, Watisungla Amer welcomed the club members and showed them the area of work.
