
KOHIMA, OCTOBER 9 (MExN): The Executive Engineer, Transmission Division, Kohima has announced a schedule for vegetation clearance and maintenance of the 33kV and 132kV transmission lines under the Kohima Transmission Division. The maintenance will take place from October 14 to November 4 to ensure stable power supply during the festive season and the upcoming 25th Hornbill Festival.
To facilitate this essential work, there will be a complete power shutdown daily from 8 AM to 3 PM. The affected areas and their respective shutdown dates are as follows:
On October 14 and 15, power will be cut in the Southern Angami area under Kohima due to the 33kV Jakhama line maintenance. From October 16 to 17, consumers in Chedema, Rusoma, Medical College, and parts of Kohima Village will experience a shutdown related to the 33kV KRM-I and KRM-II lines, with specific shutdown on October 17.
The Lalmati area will be affected on October 18 and 19 for maintenance of the 33kV Lalmati and 33kV AP-I lines, while Zubza will also face a shutdown on October 18. On October 21 and 22, the Chakhabama and Chozuba areas will be impacted by the 33kV Chakhabama line work.
The Northern Angami area under Kohima will see power disruptions from October 23 to 31 due to the 33kV Botsa line. Pughoboto area will be affected on November 1 and 2 for maintenance of the 33kV Pughoboto line. Finally, the 132kV Kiphire-Meluri line maintenance will result in shutdowns in Phek District from November 1 to 4.
